He caught that pass because he dropped the last one. He is too competitive of a player to intentionally not intercept the ball. Dude caught it and took off with paint in mind. How can you knock him for that? Aggression is cool by me.
Laron will go way before his bro. I don't know if bro will even get drafted, haven't seen much about him in draft talk.
because if the situation had been different, if, say arkansas had timeouts, that could have cost LSU the game. im sure he hadnt thought through the timeout situation before catching the ball.
also, if he fumbles during the return, and Arky recovers....First and 10 hogboys!! Not a smart move to catch the ball in that situation.
Was it the best thing to do? Probably not. But there's that playing not to lose attitude that everyone has become so comfortable with. Thank goodness the players don't think like that, or we would be heading to Shreveport instead of Atlanta
I can't think of very many safeties who went early... The best college safety I ever saw, Roy Williams, played his whole career...
But, if he intercepts it, doesn't drop it and returns it to the 35, Tigers win, which is exactly what happened, so quit trying to put a negative spin on a good play.:dis:
If he would have dropped it, they would have reviewed the play and given us the sack when Dick touched the ball onto the ground.
You guys have never played football if you are gonna knock LaRon for making that interception. If he bats that one down, half of the stadium would be complaining that he dropped two in a row... He sealed the win for the Tigers, and that is what they needed. A definitive final play, not something that we lucked into.
