1. Looking forward to seeing you I am . Dig deep and give more to your favorite "charity"
  2. I can't seem to find a confirmation on this but I don't heard the Town kid never visited USC when Kiffin was there and didn't have much contact. Now Kiffin is gone and USC takes the lead. I am interested to know if Kiff and the Town had any conversations since Kiff has been at Bama?
  3. The Kiffin hiring is already paying dividends. If by dividends you mean dwindling profits from your investment.
  4. I don't believe he took an official at USC this fall. He did camp there as I recall. It's either Scout or ESPN that tracks camp attendance on their profiles; I don't recall which.

His commitment to USC last night isn't a surprise. As soon as they hired Sark it was all but done—in my opinion. Nuss heading to Michigan wasn't the proverbial "final nail in the coffin," it was the last shovel of dirt covering it up. (When Golden was recruiting Town he made it a point to emphasize "don't make your decision based on who is the offensive coordinator. Unless a kid is being recruited by a school like Clemson—where Chad Morris has a 6 million dollar buyout if he leaves for another OC job, that's solid advice coming from Golden.)

I'm going to stray off the subject, slightly, here for a second.

Over on the recruiting forum I posed a question to another member here about why one would pay attention to Rivals.com. In the last five or six years the quality of their product has dropped; significantly.

There was an article on the Bama site about a week ago where Town had said he was planning on spending a week on campus over the summer. It left me shaking my head saying, "the kid won't make it on campus."

(As to Rivals, my opinion isn't just based on the Bama site. Hell, up until UGA hired Pruitt the UGA Rivals site had Kirby Smart taking the DC job. Epic fails, continually.)

Two things I found entertaining. One, when Saban was visiting Mama out in Cali he stopped by Rosen's school: another highly regarded QB for the 2015 class. How a lot of fans didn't see that writing on the wall (re: Town) is beyond my understanding. Secondly, here's a kid that's a year away from being on campus; likely three years away from seeing action on the football field. And, we're sitting here a week and a half away from NSD for 2014, and this is news?

And here we are today, fans getting excited over a 2015 DT that gave his verbal last night. A year away...just don't get it.
  5. Wow so a Southern California kid commits to Bama instead of his home town school, Kiffin the old coach for the hometown school gets fired and hired by Bama, now this kid says fuck Bama I'm going to USC..... I see that Kiffin hire is already doing wonders.

Bama spin master Terry in 5..4..3..2.......

  6. This kid is the talk of the town.

I guess you could say Bama is town and out.
  7. If the kid grew up watching Kiffin's USC being awful, why would he ever want to play for him now? That's most likely the reason the didn't commit to being with.

I honestly don't think Saban thought through how this hiring would affect potential recruits. But hey, Saban also didn't think through that FG in the Iron Bowl either, so this is a pattern developing.

  8. Wow, Town is clearly running from Kiffin. He's going to the one place where Lane is guaranteed to never be hired again. This is awesome.
