That's the problem. You got Crabtree and Maclin for starters. Then the possibility that Heyward-Bey and Britt project ahead of you if they have great senior seasons. So you're taking a chance of what appears to be the best option out there in the '09 draft to maybe 5th or 6th best pick in '10. That's a lot of money in play.
bowe worked on his eyes with surgery. whether thats all it was doesnt matter I guess. he gained confidence and left all those drops behind.
Our QB situation has not helped Lafell or Byrd this year at all, and no matter what happens, it probably won't help them next year either. These are other issues that come up when these guys are trying to make their decisions.
It hasnt helped, but its not Lee that drops a lot of passes either. LaFell has especially had a lot of drops this season. Byrd has as well, the first INT against Bama was on him. Not everything is on Lee like some make it seem. He is a big part of the problem though.
Yeah, this is just real unfair. It was a horrible pass in traffic that Byrd made a hell of an effort on but was hit by two defenders as soon as he had his hands on the ball. Should have never been thrown. Lee repeatedly tried to kill his receivers like this.
Todd McShay has LaFell has his 6th best WR prospect regardless of class and 57th overall in his big 64. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft09/columns/story?columnist=mcshay_todd&id=3686211
Exactly. He stared Byrd down the whole way, drawing in the defense, zipped it in, and got him killed.
Agree at least he attempted there are some pros that would've just look at the ball and Lee in disgust.Don't get how Miles can get on/call out Byrd in the media but not on Lee not saying he should because no coach should use the media to put blame or pass blame on a player or another Coach.
