Lafell is the best blocking WR I have ever seen at LSU.

That's what I was about to say. Clayton was known for his blocking skills as much as his receiving skills. Craig Davis wasn't too shabby either. Not sure if Lafell is better then him.

Throw in Percy, I mean Russell Shepherd to be USED just like Harvin
and LSU in 09 looks like Florida in 08.:geaux:

I totally agree with you. Brandon Lafell is the best route runner LSU has seen since Josh Reed. Other than Josh, i cant ever remember seeing anyone get as open as Lafell has gotten. He can also block in the running game, is about as good as Michael Clayton was, not as good as Dwayne Bowe was but is still a great run blocker at wideout.

Something being overlooked in LaFell leaving is the impact it might have on Randle. I have read plenty of people saying it should help us because he will have a better chance of starting. But how quickly we forget Randle's own words about liking the idea of having a dominant WR opposite him, to take the pressure off. When talking about bama, he listed Jones. When talking about LSU, he listed LaFell and Toliver.

In the end, he may pick LSU regardless, but if what he has stated publicly is true, LaFell leaving could have a negative impact.
