Simple Trust can take care of that or have local Sheriff sign off. For a 150 dollar Trust you can put the whole dam family on it.
Exactly. Depending on terrain, sometimes you only see them for a second. Happened to me this year. Certainly can't be moving and fumbling around while one appears.
You suspect wrongly. Not saying I would want to buy a gun that might be stolen and used in a crime. Just that I could if I was desperate enough. Besides the availability of legal firearms through Penny Shopper ads and gun shows almost everybody knows somebody who has plenty of guns and would sell them one if they asked.
Nah you just have to know people. I can get whatever stolen gun I want with a phone call. But I don't want a possible stolen gun.
That is still no reason to just blow off having better background checks in gun stores. It's coming for gun shows, too. It will stop a lot of people who have no business with a gun. So will gun registration. There is no reason that a law-abiding citizen should fear registration any more that they should fear getting their car or boat registered. Bitching about mass shooting and out-of-control gun violence and then doing nothing is senseless. We have lost less than 100 people to terrorism since 9/11. But we have had gun deaths in the 10's of thousands. It shouldn't be easier to get a gun than a car.
Earplugs are a lot cheaper than silencers. Good silencers cost over $500. I see no need for them for ear protection. Unless you use low-powered subsonic ammunition, the sonic crack is still going to be loud. It's not like hunters fire off 100 rounds a day. Target shooters wear good sound headsets. The main reason people want silencers for hunting is because they do a lot of poaching.
Hey, being incompetent to handle a gun is serious stuff no matter what the cause, I don't care if they are a veteran or not. PTSD ranges from mild to crippling. It's only a mental health condition and not in itself a reason to restrict gun ownership. But in the most severe cases involving erratic behavior, determined by mental health doctors, a patient could be a danger to himself and others. No one is going to take guns away from PTSD patients who only have nightmares. This is a phony issue.
