Virtually all behaviors are caused by a complex blending of environment and genetics. Why would sexuality be any different?

The gay gene has bee searched for, but never found.

Dean Hamer is the authority on the subject, and is himself a homsexual.

    He says:

While I [respect] his having the courage of his conviction, he is sure to be forced to vacate his position as a JP.

wtf are you talking about? Equal protection clause of the 14th amendment has nothing to do with affirmative action. Quotas are unconstitutional. Im sorry I even engaged you.

My bad, you can carry on!

if you use that argument, allowing people to not uphold the law when charged to do so, because of personal belief, then you can say it is ok for a police officer to refuse to arrest a man for beating his wife because "the bitch asked for it".

    where do you stop?

the whole gay thing is a smoke screen. there are test cases going through the courts and laws being written on gay marriage. (one way or another.) that issue has yet to be resolved.

to discriminate on race was pretty much settled long ago and is against the law. this guy is not only refusing to uphold the law of his office, he is breaking the law.

I'm not saying I agree with either side of the argument. But there are sides.

one more reason marriage should not be handled by the government. again, it should be just like baptism, run by churches. and legal civil unions for anyone who wants them. problem solved. next.

Well I'm not sure what the law says as nobody has presented it. Does the law say you have the right to marry? Does the law say a JP must marry anyone with the right? Does the law give a JP the right to marry whom he wants?

    What is the law??
