So what is your point? Everybody recognizes the races, as I pointed out above. They are all one species and that is what people refer to when they say "human race". As your definition states "(in nontechnical use) each of the major divisions of living creatures : a member of the human race | the race of birds." It doesn't mean that they don't recognize white people.
I'm with you, tinsley. I was a sex, drugs, and rock 'n' roll hippie, not a peace and love hippie. There really weren't that many flower-children outside of San Francisco and the bulk of them were chicks anyway. Most of us were roadies, musicians, bikers, dead-heads, college slackers, and other assorted long-beard freaks.
