Saban said it best When talking to Spears about converting, Good Tight ends in the NFL make about $1.8 millon, while good defensive ends make $6 millon. Remeber this was before Scoky and Windslow, but still true.
LOL! I was thinking the same thing. Here's a great article on 40 times. http://draftboardinsider.com/players/stat_40times.html
Anderson was just on Songy's show...... ....and out of his own mouth, he said he ran in the low 4.6's, but had been working on hand-eye coordination drills including playing basketball and doing the other conditioning for fball. Has a new QB I think and said, "LSU recruited me the best" No other Texas school came close to recruiting me as well. Said that he enjoyed when he was brought in to LSU and recieved well by the players and said we had a great group of coaches.
Also, he said he hoped to get his 40 time into the 4.5's and that his catching ability had greatly improved over the last 18 months. Sounded like a solid down to earth young man.
If he's running 4.5's, I'd stick him at WR and do nothing all day but throw him quick outs. Again, read that article on 40 times. If he's FAST, that'll do for me.
Glad to have Anderson, but I am still REALLY hoping we get Farr. I believe we lead for him currently, hopefully that hasn't changed with the addition of Anderson.
you're missing the point....ramah wasnt saying its not legit. hes saying it is. regardless if its NFL combine timed 4.6 isnt the point as long as its the usual college 4.6. that article was posted before...i think most are aware now that 40 times are deflated. he's saying that he's not going to be playing TE with that type of speed.
I don't know about you guys, but a 6-6 260 lbs dude running in the 4.5s (eventually hopefully) playing at TE is very enticing. Expand the offensive firepower and weaponry that much more.
