if there was space for Kwon in the class they would have taken him , but there is not, Kwon was lower on the LB board for Bama because of fit. Lee, Ragland, Duvall, Thomas and Jenkins all fit what bama does. regarding Gunner, bama wanted him, they even gave him more attention than Winston during the process (gunner was a pvt commit to bama btw) but after gunner committed to Indiana, bama took the QB from Texas and went after Winston harder. When Gunner decommitted , Winston was rumored to be switching soon by the same bama insiders ( every national insider missed on) that knew about Alphonse Taylor and Yeldon switching, so there was no need to go after Kiel anymore. another reason is that Kiel wanted to be the only QB in the class, bama wanted to take 2 QBs because there was a chance that the loser of the McCarron/Sims QB battle would transfer . Winston ( who is #1 QB on alot of boards also) doesnt mind 2 QBs in the class.
How can a "Bama pvt commit" commit to another school? You are a very typical Bama fan. Why does Bama have 3* recruits in their class(es)? According to most Bama fans, every 5* wants or wanted to be at Bama. On your "only QB" in this class theory, Bama has 4 QBs on roster. After this year, LSU has 4 QBs on roster. Do you really think that Kiel is worried about being in the same class with Alec Morris, the #30 ranked QB on Rivals?

thats why bridges were burned when he committed to Indiana, thats all i know. what part of "im a football fan" is not being comprehended? what does "according to most bama fans have to do with me? I cant speak for them. people get too caught up in player recruiting rank, sometimes its about fit. Gunner wasnt worried about Alec Morris,he was worried about Winston, because at one time bama tried to get both, Alec didnt commit until after gunner committed to Indiana, Bama just decided to focus on Winston instead of playing this back and forth game with Kiel again. and regarding QB depth, Gunner has a better chance of starting early for LSU since there will be only inexperience guys and Mett will be his biggest competitor on the roster than coming to bama where McCarron has started a whole year and Sims being his backup.
