can we please take any arguing over football to the thread on the subject of new oc, and leave those concerns and personal sniping out of this one? please?

krags has been diagnosed with a progressive debilitating disease to which there is no cure. lets leave this thread to thoughts and concerns about the man and his family.

    +1

PPl that come to this board for information on the subject will see the bickering and it gives TF a black eye.

Much love and prayers to you your family coach.
You were new to the family but part of the family just the same.

When I heard the news, I kinda thought of Freddie Roach and the success he has had in his profession (Freddie was a boxer turned trainer after his diagnois of Parkinson's). Also, I am encouraged by the words I understand to be from Kragethrope about his desire to be here coaching QBs for the next 10-12 years. Especially when one of the best messages in football is to overcome adversity and let nothing stop you.

My .02 is that he was pointing out that his 1st response was not one for Krag or his family.

again, just my .02. Thats how I saw it.

The only positive I can gleam from this news is that Steve wants to continue coaching. Obviously he and his wife are both fighters given what they have gone through and Krag's decision not to fold up tent but to continue his life as he wants to live it to the best of his ability only further affirms his warrior spirit. A lot of people may not have done the same and just taken what they could and tried to enjoy the rest of their time here as he probably could have. LSU football is clearly secondary here, but Steve isn't abandoning his players and wants to make an impact. I hope each kid he coaches sees his example and plays every play with the same vigor as he will be coaching each one. Football often teaches life lessons. The lesson here is you never give up. There is no quit. And I hope like hell we find some cures for these awful diseases.

Jesus.... his wife has been battling MS and he gets diagnosed with Parkinson's....and they have kids. It is hard to talk about fairness in life because it really doesn't exist. My thoughts are with the Kragthorpe family.
