The best King Cakes are made by Port Allen Bakery. They use donut dough. Boy, talk about GOOD!!!

I had a chance to sample a few of these this weekend and I've got to say I think Haydels was my favorite.

I just got mine in from Gambino's Friday and I must say, it's the best I've had. :thumb: I will try the other recommendations here next year, but I will also order from Gambino's as well. QUICK shipping too. It was ordered at about 2pm on Wednesday and was here on Friday when I got home at 4pm.

Mine is sitting in the fridge, beckoning me.... I promised the girls I work with that I would bring it for them to try. I'm beginning to wonder if that was a silly promise. :dis::hihi:

Ha ha! All so true. I only have to bring 8 slices. And you're right, they don't have to be big at all.

I have one of these sitting in the back of my car right now waiting to be devoured. My personal favorite although Randazzo's and Gambino's are good too.
