Sorry to hear. He had showed flashes of great shiftyness reminiscent of CEH. Just needed more time to develop behind a line that could block for more than 10ms. Not sure how far he wouldve fallen back in rotation during rehab but still seems premature. Maybe he will have a change of heart.
I hate to see him go, but I just don't think it was a good fit. He was a long way from home, rough season last year and he was always being compared to Helaire and it was clear he was nowhere near as talented as Helaire, although he is a talented RB. I wish him the best and I hope he has a great career at Cincinnati.
I think he’s battling an injury. I don’t think it’s clear he isn’t as talented as CEH. Most people didn’t give CEH a second thought going into 2019.
You make a good point about CEH going into 2019, but CEH just had that "it" factor. He was hungry, driven and never backed down from a challenge despite his size, which is hard to find. How many backs his size go in the first round of the NFL draft? Don't get me wrong, Kiner is very talented and I hope he has a great career at Cincy, but I just think CEH is one of those rare players that has that extra something (drive, gear, attitude) that separates him from other good RBs.
