Nah, I never knew that. I'm a little slow....it takes me a while to catch on. If I ever get a ticket in Brandon, I'ma holla at the big homie Bayou Bengal.
just dont get pulled over for reading a book, a kindle, or shaving your bikini area while driving, and he'll probably vouch for you.:hihi:
Amazon.com : Entertainment : Introducing Amazon Kindle Wireless access (think cellphone, not WiFi) will allow you to browse and purchase books instantaneously. Everything except charging is OTA and the battery lasts for several days. Books cost no more than $10. You can subscribe to newspapers, blogs, newsfeeds, etc. and it will hold over 200 titles without adding a memory card, which you can do if you like. No subscription is required for access, etc. Just fire it up and download anywhere you can get a cell signal. The display is supposedly very easy on the eyes, which was my biggest concern. I have adjusted over time to reading large amounts of content on a computer screen. Amazon's library is pretty immense, so for someone like me who is somewhat limited in the choices offered by Baton Rouge-area bookstores this is great. The cost is still pretty steep, so I'm waiting for them to hit $100 before I drop coin on one unless I can find one secondhand or refurbished before then.
You can adjust the size of the font as well. If you use a larger font, there won't be as many words per page. Also, if you turn off the cellphone connection, I've found my battery life lasting several weeks.
What if I'm on an airplane and reading a great mystery on Kindle and the flight attendant announces it's time to turn off the electronics? Am I done reading for the flight? That would suck.
They only tell you to turn off electronic devices before you land and just before you take off. I guess you'll miss out on a couple minutes of reading time. Meanwhile, you'll never have to drive to the bookstore again. As soon as you hear about a book that sounds good to read, you just download it or throw it on your wish list right then and there.
