you can use the kindle app on the bb. but you might not be able to see the text.

I can send you some ebooks since i stole about 10,000 of them due to the obama economy.

ive only read 6 so far. 9,994 to go.

Only marginally so. We read on backlit computer screens all day. A Kindle has its niche, but an iPad is more versatile.

computers are fine but once i read about 13 pages or so i want to rest my eyes on something that isnt pummeling me with back-lighting. books are way too long for computer screens.

I like that the kindle is so light. Try holding up an ipad for an hour.

The KindlePad has a smaller screen, but is thicker and heavier than the iPad. Suit people may like it because it will fit in an inside coat pocket, but its kind of a brick compared to the cheap Kindle.

I'm talking about reading on a regular kindle versus an ipad. Not the Kindle Fire.

You can read a kindle outside in full sunlight... not easy to do on a screen with a backlight. I also sync my iPhone kindle app, and computers (laptop, netbook & desktop) so if don't have the kindle with me for some reason I can read on those whichever piece of equipment is handiest.

I love my KindleDx except for the fact I can't use my wifi with it and can only use the built-in whispernet. The whispernet connection in my area is crap; sometimes have to leave it outside on the back deck to have enough of a connection to download anything.

Am working through the last two books in Game of Throne series but it's slow going since football season is here ;)

True. But outside in the full sunlight is not where I choose to read 99% of the time.

I have grandkids in competing in sports.... so... It's also pretty sunny most of the time out on the lake in the boat; I usually catch my limit before the hubs does, so I either sit on the seat on the back boatdeck and shoot snakes or read :p~
