Officially, the airlines' position is that they "could" affect the navigational systems of the aircraft. Cajun Sensation may be the reason that Minneapolis bound plane ended up overshooting the Twin Cities by 150 miles.:hihi:
This flight was American Airlines flight from Dallas to Gulfport/Biloxi. I was on my way back from Omaha. B*itch's name was "Lilimer". Asian looking lady. Smelled of cabbage.
Mythbusters did a segment on the cell phone airplane issue. MythBusters Episode 49: Cell Phones on a Plane
safety? but i am really bored! i dont carry a manpurse full of electronic devices so i can stow them and be bored.
ok, good, now take your ability be indifferent about taking proper politically correct positions on homophobic slurs and apply that to your infantile opinion of my racism. try to be consistent. we can either say what we want or we can be whiny self-righteous pricks, choose one.
The policy for all the airlines is all electronic devices have to be completely powered off for takeoff and landing. Once you are in the air you can use cell phones only if they have airplane mode. They always like to make a big show about this and act like they are really put out by anyone with a phone turned on. It's all pretty much BS as I have seen on 60 minutes, or some other news show of the like, that research has shown phones and electronic devices do not interfere with the plane in any way.
They really aren't competing technologies. Kindle is just an ebook reader for Amazon's file formate while the ipad it a hopped up ipod touch or a stripped down tablet computer. (However you want to look at it) You can actually get the kindle app on the ipad.
