That's a loaded post. Working backwards ... From what I understand, it's not an O / Craig thing as much as it is Canada doing his thing. That's what the Craig side of the story is. (He's one to watch right now. His family was talking about Oregon Weds. night as Co-OC along with Mario ... when asked about Bama it was "no comment." Literally.) These people that are pushing the Kelly story aren't paying attention to anything other than what they are writing/saying. It's not about a personality thing with Kelly. It's about a coaching philosophy. The recruiting classes on offense show where Saban is headed. That's not Kelly's style. You want something to chew on for a bit? What is Saban's style right now? As football fans we've seen three different offensive approaches over the last three years--all tailored around a position. The more I think about it the more I'm inclined to believe this hire is going to be tailored around a group--offensive line type of hire.
So basically you have no idea but are trying to keep your informed card. Yeah chip Kelly wouldn't know what to do with a running Hawaiian quarterback. Hopefully Craig gets the gig.
You guys are scaring me,.. I think Oregon is going to hire Craig to be our receivers coach. He had a $600k buyout in his contract with LSU, caused the Ducks to hold off, him being fired has opened the door. Now because of yous, I'm not so sure that I want him.
He has been pursuing that job with more titles for almost 2 months now. He can recuit but get ready for some attitude and lackluster coaching effort.
Well that's not good to hear about Craig. It was announced yesterday, that we are hiring Oklahoma State's Marcus Arroyo to coach QBs and serve as co-OC, passing game coordinator. The Ducks still need a Receivers and a TE coach, Craig's salary is very high for those positions,.. now I hope we pass on him.
