cant you please stop posting random bullshiit from everywhere else?

this board is based primarily on discussion between its members. not constant copying/pasting of nonsensical random crap without merit.

lets have opinions. you know, our own.

my opinion is this type of nonsense sucks and hinders this board's interaction significantly.

Tirk, I feel you. It'd be nice if TF currently offered so much good conversation on LSU football that I wouldn't even think of going elsewhere.

But I do honestly feel that you are one of the strong points of TF when it comes to intelligent sports-analysis conversation, and it'd be nice to see you share your thoughts with us more when it comes to sports. No offense to CParso (who apparently is some sort of deity here), but I think tirk is several levels above CParso when it comes to sports knowledge.

(but yeah, when it comes to being a good person, CParso gets an A+ in my book, while tirk would get a C- .... but yeah, not that I'm any better at it).

Bandit played OL, and he stays true to his OL MVP love. I honestly like that about him. I have no problem with an OL guy not wanting to dog a QB of a team he loves (being that I like the QB bodyguard factor of OL guys).

But as for the other detractors who feel J Russell could do better as a QB than you could if you were in his body... basically, I think you are the guys whose parents got permission from the school principal to excuse you guys from PE.

I always have faith in our Tigers, and no matter what, I will always be a :helmet: fan

I ain't ready to throw in the towel either.

    That is true

Who knows what could happen with our quarterback situation, I just think we need to wait and see. But I think we will be fine. And I am like another poster, I am glad that all this happened before football season started, we have a lot of time to get ready.

This is all speculation. I expect Lee to start and for Hatch to play also.

Lee was a touted 4*, I've seen a few tapes on him, and he looked polished for a high school QB when he signed. He has the talent to play.

He's a RS frosh, so he lacks experience at the D1 level.

    That's the basics.

If he has an average first year, we win 8 games and lose Ga., Fla., Auburn, plus one more. If he has a good year, we win 9 games. If he has an excellent year (along with the rest of the team) we win 10 or 11 games.

We just don't know what he'll do. Because the OU RS QB had an excellent year says nothing about our situation, except that its POSSIBLE that Lee COULD have an excellent year. Same with McCoy at Tex. couple years ago, but he struggled at times, like when they lost games.

I'll expect Lee to be at least good, probably struggle at times, and leave room for some hope that he surprises to the upside and we win 9 or 10 games. My prediction for the season is 9-3.

Once again, I think a 6-2 record wins the SEC West.

Even with a new QB, LSU will have the offensive talent to win close ball games.
But I do have to wonder if a rookie QB will realistically be able to put up huge numbers right away against SEC defenses.

So, I am more inclined to believe that the LSU season will be better defined by what happens on defense.

    1. Are there players who will emerge as the new leaders of the LSU defense?
    2. Will the LSU defensive coaching staff be able to scheme effectively with the high powered offenses that Florida and Georgia will have this year?

I'm curious how you feel you would have done better than the #1 draft pick, since current NCAA rules do not allow the QB to google, cut and paste between plays.

And quite a few of us were athletes here(including myself) and seriously don't drink enough or take enough drugs to proclaim even in the shower alone, much less on a public forum, that we would have been better than JR if we had his body. I would say this eliminates your credibility but I don't think you had any before.:insane:

The level of weirdness you bring to this board is increasing exponentially. Somewhere in the recesses of your brain is a moderately normal fan, and I wish you would let him out occasionally.

There have been several highlight reels linked here of Lee in HS, and they show a guy frequently out of the pocket, moving well, and most importantly, throwing strikes while on the move. My only concerns about Lee are with his lack of experience. I have no problem with his skills.
