For fried chicken ONLY, Church's...can't beat that crust,, ...but the closest one is in Oaktown...errrrr..Dangerland.. Close 2nd is Popeye's. I used to work near the one on Airline by Earl K. Long and have eaten theirs since '76...out here there's one 2 miles from my house and they make decent gumbo & CF etouffee(in season) when I need a quick fix... KFC is 2 blocks from my house but they're 3rd place, I really like that honey BBQ sandwich... No Chick Fil A's out here... How about some Maravich's Maryland Fried Chicken for all the old timers out there? :thumb: There was one 2 blocks from my house on Greenwell and Silverleaf in NBR...
Small town, I voted Popeye's because the KFC closed here last year, we have no Churches, and the only Chik fil a is on campus...don't fight the traffic if I don't have to. We do have a Southern Classic which is very good, plus they sprinkle Tony's on their fries...awesome! Have to agree with DD...mine is the best but I do love Popeye's biscuits.
