there is no counter for the blur offense. and because they know exactly what will happen on any given offensive snap, regardless of our defense, their muscles absorb thrice the oxygen as LSU muscles and therefore they cannot be fatigued. besides, they break out the hoverounds for game time...going practice/warp speed during an actual game would be unfair and they'd beat us 292-10, not to mention the possibility of opening an unstable inter-dimensional wormhole.. google it. it's right under the article that proves that only 2 oregon linemen were unable to best usain bolt in the 40. all skill players were unable to be timed because of human error, due to the fact that nobody could start and stop a stopwatch that fast. also, darron thomas was frozen in carbonite by chip kelly the night cliff harris smoked primo and tried to see if his rent-a-car could match his top running speed. god damn cops ruined that.
CONDITIONING !!!!!!!! If Miles does not have our team ready for a 80 miles an hour offense non-stop for this game we are toast. Fourth quarter and still no huddle for Ducks. LSU has to be up by 10 in the 4th to win. The D has to keep everything inside the hashes. If LJ gets outside and they are able to roll out on play action and hit the TE and LJ we are in trouble. My question is who in heck is going to cover LJ out of the backfield ! Because I can tell you the Ducks will use this all night long. Screens, Bubble Screens, Quick hits is there game plan to a aggressive D. LSU needs long drives to eat up the clock and cannot give them the short field. You can bet special teams wins this game. I do not care whether JJ (doubt it) or JL plays. Run,Run,Run. We have a good line of RB's to be fresh the whole game and a deep OL. If we throw a lot we lose. Not to mention the distraction of this fight. Miles seems Miles away from settleing. This has to be finalized before kick off or it could be bad for the Tigers............
We heard all this before guys. Remember how the wvu team was so fast bla bla bla. Before the end of the game the wvu qb was lining up under the guard and Noel Devine had his azz handed to him. Our defense will smash that asz. Count on it. AU taught us how to handle OU. Get penetration into the backfield and play hardcore smash mouth defense. No problem guys. Before the end of this game the FREAK will be a household name. Hard core power football on both sides of the ball will defeat the ducks. LSU will be too strong in the end.
The last two Jim Thorpe winners and last years Chuck Bednarik award winner (College footballs best defensive player, voted by Sportswriters and Sportscasters from across the country), were coached by John Chavis. I think he knows defense pretty good. :tigereye:
No, you said "What stops Oregon, is a defense that doesn't over pursue (teams that have over-pursued, are usually teams with a fast front 7-trying to get to the ball as fast as they can), and plays gap assignment football. AU did a great job of that, as did Cal." You were talking about defense, not scoring. Defense is measured in yards.
Here's some propaganda the poule d'eau fans may be interested in since they seem to think we don't have any players left after Nevis and Levingston. Eyes on the lines | LSU | The Advocate — Baton Rouge, LA
Some seem to forget that last year we had lost, Riley, Coleman, Jones, Cutrera, Hawkins, Woods, Alem, Alexander and McCray, an still won 11 games. We only had 4 starters returning last year. We played a lot of true and RS Freshmen, gonna payoff well this year.
