Hey duck, We play aginst some of the fastest, strongest and most vicious athletes in college football week in and week out. The sec is basically an NFL farm league. The defenses we play are extremely complex and the offenses we meet are as varied as imaginable. We have seen it all , and have come out victorious more often than not. LSU plays a mean , fast hard hitting style of defense. Our men play hard. Damn hard. It's going to be a fight. All the trickery and gimmicks aren't going to mean anything. It's going to be a brawl. The ducks better be ready. Pack a lunch because it's going to be a long night baby.
I've been told countless times on this forum that neither one of our games vs. Tenn last year counted. Oregon's game was against a bottom-feeding SEC team. The LSU game was a trap game.
Hahahaa.. oh you're serious? A SEC defense is no more complex than Oregon's, or many other top 25 teams. The differences are size, speed and talent, not how complex it is.
Auburn was #60 in total defense last year, Oregon was #34, California was #18 and LSU was #12. John Chavis knows defense pretty damn good, I think.
I give em credit for playing the National Champs a better game than we did. AU did show mercy at the end as they could have easily beat us by another TD if they wanted to.
As does every coach in the SEC, PAC-10, etc... Rankings only tell half the story. Yards don't win games, points do (But I've told you this before). 2010 SCORING DEFENSE LSU-11 Oregon-12 (Ya beat us! LSU gave up .46 of a point less per game) Cal-40 +4 Auburn-53 +6 Just sayin'!
