1. dominate the lines of scrimmage

we are equipped to do just that
  2. True, they avg. 6 plays per possession in the NC game.

Another thing from last year, they returned 9 on offense and 8 on defense. Last year we returned 6 and 4, an still won 11 games, played a ton of RS and True Freshman.

  3. no matter who our QB is, IF we start the game offensively with 4-5 three and outs, LSU is in for a long day. As everyone knows, Oregon can't score if their offense is on the sidelines. Should be a fun game.

  4. If they do that it means they are beating our OL

If we can't run the ball well it will be a close game

    we stop them from running

    we are able to run

they have the 3 and outs

we are on the field that is what it is all about

    LSU!:LSU231::LSU231:LSU!

  5. agree 100%

I think we can and should
  6. I think we have to disrupt their offensive gameplan. I know this sounds generic, but Oregon relies very heavily on momentum. They score in bunches. Auburn kept them modest by doing just that. The Chief has historically taken a non-aggressive approach to teams that run this type of system, but that needs to change for this game. We need to utilize our defensive speed to flush the play to one side and take it from there. Sitting back on our heels and trying to let the play come to us will yield disastrous results.

  7. will yield disastrous results.

I hate it when that happens
  8. Exactly Rwilliams. JL gets the ball in the true playmakers hands. Running the option with a mediocre running qb (JJ) will make for a long night for the Tigers. Look at the receivers we've had during JJ's time here, PATHETIC!
  9. DEFENSE!!

    And Plenty of it!
  10. LSU will pound the hell out of the ball. Just like ridley ripped off long runs in the fourth qtr last year ware will this year. As long as we can keep the false start and holding penalties down the power running game will wear down the ducks. We have to force them to stack the box and make them pay for it with play action passing.

Please , please Lord let us not see any weak side option plays this year. If I never watched LSU run another option play again it would still be too soon. I hope lsu never has another "running " qb again as long as I live.
