shes not an idiot. taking a stand. civil disobedience, perhaps. i admire her stand. but she should be fired, after she gets out of jail.
what? i think thats pretty much what "freedom" means. its certainly not talking about your freedom to do something from jail. anyway, the first amendment is not relevant here.
She is an idiot and I'll tell you why. Using the bible as your instrument for bigotry when you yourself don't pay heed to the rest of the bible makes you an idiot. You can't just pick and choose scripture that fits your ideals because you don't like this or you don't like that.
Every Christian religion picks and chooses and interprets scripture to fit their ideals. What's good for a Catholic is verboten for a Baptist. And vice versa.
Even if bail was set high there are lots of people who support her position who would chip in and pay it. The bakery in Oregon that refused to make a gay cake was fined $125K. Supporters donated over $400K to them
If only all elected officials were had so firmly to the same standard. Don't get me wrong...she is wrong in her stance and hypocritical in her position. However she is such an easy target it seems she is getting a more extreme treatment than others who think they have the right to break the rules for 'political' posturing.
