It is now. And many different judges have ordered her to do as such. She is going to end up costing her county money, which will be forced onto the taxpayers, and she will also probably be jailed.

It seems apparent that this woman is very confused. Confusing her religion with her official duties, confusing the law with sin, and obfuscating the significance of marriage, being a serial marry-er. I see no need to vilify her personally. She just needs to follow the law or resign. Simplify things for herself and move on. She's in the wrong job. And yes the gays can alway go to the next county to get married, but that solves nothing. We have a right to see that our elected officials do their duties or be held accountable.
Agreed. I admire her religious conviction, but the concept of "separation of church and state" goes both ways. If your religious beliefs conflict with the duties of your elected office, time to step down.
