Hopefully the democrats can find a way to prevent him from putting another right wing nut on the court. Being that McConnell basically stole the last one.

I'm betting he will put more of a centrist on the bench and I hope he does. All about balance

The hell with balance. We need someone that adheres to the constitution not some judge who advances their personal agenda. Was Obama thinking balance when he chose Sotamyor and Kagan? Dont think so.

Gorsuch has not been a right wing nit. In fact he’s sided with the left side more often than Kennedy.
Both Gorsuch and Roberts though conservatives follow the law and constitution much more than Sotomayor or Ginsberg. Sotomayor’s dissent on the Muslim Ban was purely emotional and had no basis in law. Read some analysis of the decision. Even liberals admitted the ban was legal and followed precedent.
The idea that conservatives are the ones who let ideology get in the way of law are generally full of it The leftists are the ones who do that.

I have no problem with civil unions. Don't like it called marriage but that's the law now.
Even Roe is against Roe v Wade now. Its murder no matter what the reason. But I don't see it being overturned either

This. We need judges who follow the law, not an agenda

Yeah. I don't see an overturning of Roe v Wade. What the court will rule on is state laws put in place that force abortion clinics to close down because of new requirements that are not really valid. This has happened in Texas and it is being challenged.

I don't really have an opinion on that. I like choice, but the choice should be difficult. Everyone is going to focus on this. How is the nominee going to answer the R v W question.

Whoever the nominee is, I'm calling it's going to be a female. This will piss the left off.
