Olbermann is one of the most loathsome people to ever appear on TV or radio. His smugness and condescension is so thoroughly infuriating I have actually contemplated smashing my beautiful plasma TV with a baseball bat.
I agree that Limbaugh and Olberman suck equally from opposite directions. Hannity I can stomach a little more because I don't get the vibe that he is intentionally trying to deceive me. I think he is just blinded by the party line whereas Rush and Keith see how messed up their respective ideologies are and still stick by them
Hannity, Limbaugh, Coulter, Olberman, Matthews, are all biased and bend and twist the facts to support their view. Except for the biggest hypocrite, the drug addict, thrice married, law and order, moral majority Limbaugh, who is so outlandish he's becoming a joke. (Just my opinion.) I think we just think the ones that are opposite of our point of view is worse.
Defending any extreme point of view is difficult to understand. I don't get the impression that Rush is terribly intelligent but admit I have not listened to much of his show, so maybe he is good at hiding it. When I did listen, he seemed more interested in himself than anything else, and if self-promotion is the goal, I guess he is successful. Ann and Keith seem like genuinely stupid people. The kind of person that you would avoid in the check out line at the grocery store. Both very unhappy people and I won't miss them when they disappear from the airwaves. Hannity seems like an intelligent person on occasion, but also comes across as a rabid chihuahua. Sort of a real life bobble head. I can't really watch his show either. I am unsure what a person sees in any of these types, unless it is reinforcement for your own established hatreds. They don't seem to teach, expose, or enlighten anything, but I could be wrong.
You are wrong about Limbaugh. I would suspect that his IQ borders on the genius level. He's gotten stupid rich while chuckling at the gullibility of people. He does not take himself seriously. 90% of his schtick is tongue-in-cheek. I mainly watch Hannity to see what the Obama opposition talking points are at any given time.
I can see that I suppose. Like I said, I really don't listen to his show. Just not my style. I used to enjoy Ken Hamblin but he went off the air some time ago. His show could be informative.
