Dream on, my friend. Kennedy is in the senate, this doesn't effect him at all. You aren't paying attention if you think Kennedy and Pelosi are what's coming up in 2008. It's moderates Hillary and Obama already and the others will be lining up in the next two very long years.
Kerry said what he said and I don't care about how he explains it.An explanation is just that, it explains what he was saying. But unfortunately, that isn't how it sounded to the majority of people. Whether he went to say what he did, he shouldn't have said it if he didn't think he could pull it off correctly. He should take full blame for even trying to make any sort of analogies about being stupid and being in IRAQ. Coulda shoulda woulda...
That's not what I'm talking about. My point was that we will see a lot more of "prominent" democrats if they control the legislature. Hillary and Obama both have obvious characteristics which makes them unelectable (as POTUS). It'll be a white male in the White House in 2009. I just don't know who.
He qualifies to be called a journalist, obviously. journalist noun 1. One whose occupation is journalism. 2. One who keeps a journal. journalism –noun 1. the occupation of reporting, writing, editing, photographing, or broadcasting news or of conducting any news organization as a business. 2. all the media and agencies that print, broadcast, or gather and transmit news, including newspapers, newsmagazines, radio and television news bureaus, and wire services.. 3. a course of study preparing students for careers in reporting, writing, and editing for newspapers and magazines. 4. writing that reflects superficial thought and research, a popular slant, and hurried composition, conceived of as exemplifying topical newspaper or popular magazine writing as distinguished from scholarly writing Limbaugh not only creates a radio journal (and you can obtain his transcripts), but his occuation is a broadcast journalist. He meets three of the four definitions. There is no difference whatsoever. First you said Olberman is a journalist and that Limbaugh is not but now you say that Olberman "masquerades" as a journalist. I think you are confused. You aren't paying attention, then. Or perhaps you just can't see from your position way out there on the extreme right wing. One of the problems with an extreme position is poor perspective, of course. All of the liberals, all of the moderates, and many of the conseravtives are to the left of you and you can't tell the difference. From my position in the middle I can clearly tell the difference between a moderate and a liberal democrat.
I tend to agree. My point is that it is the moderate democrats who will be prominent until 2008, not the liberal democrats. Likewise, the moderate republicans are going to overcome the radical republicans in 2008. It will be a moderate white male in the White House in 2008. Probably McCain.
i am sick of every president being a white male. that is why i cannot vote for obama, he is half white.
i try to watch his show sometimes because i always liked him on sportscenter but he's pretty terrible and unfunny doing news. kinda like when craig kilborn got out of his element when he left. he's ok. I accidentally hear him sometimes and though you know where he stands on every single issue beforehand he still makes decent points. I like the commercial where he mocks himself about getting busted with viagra....something about he told his doctor he needed something for the ELECTION. hillary being moderate is pretty funny. kinda like martin keeps trying to explain, by red's definition Hitler was a moderate to someone.
this is a pretty cool map from the NYT that shows each state and their senators, along with a continuum of left/right based on their voting record. the hillary graph tends pretty far to the left. not as far as kennedy, but pretty lefty. apparently lsu baseball fan mary landrieu is a very good "moderate". http://www.nytimes.com/ref/washington/2006ELECTIONGUIDE.html?currentDataSet=senANALYSIS
I said Hillary is a moderate Democrat. She's still left of center, just a lot closer than the far left Dean or Kennedy.
