He's a good player, just does not fit in with our plans. We have a very deep DLine so we did not need him.
I think Williams was too old to play his senior year at Northside and that's why he went to the Academy to play for a year.
ScottyB28 you are correct about KW's situation at Northside. He turned 19 before the cutoff date and wouldn't have been eligible to play his senior year. Another reason why this kid should be ready to play as a 20 year old true freshman. I never saw the Shaw kids name popup anywhere on LSU's radar. I think we were recruiting Chaz Washington, but wanted him as an o-lineman & not on the defensive side of the ball.
