Man I agree, my heart really goes out to CLM. You know a huge amount of time by a lot of coaches, players, etc have gone into helping RP see the light. It's got to be so disappointing to get a call like this. What we want to hear from RP is I screwed up again and I'm never going out until after football season is over. We don't want to hear he called his attorney and it was not his fault.

Anyone want to gander at what Nick Saban said to his wife when he heard the news about this on WAFB?

    Please keep it clean

I would say you're dead wrong. The inferences being posted are from what I know to be true Tiger fans. There may be a post or two from unregs or newbies but the main news is coming from long time members of this forum and others.

i have to reply to this tiga because this crap is getting ridiculous. i had a post a few days ago asking what the policy was on reporting "rumors" and most people just said don't go overboard. well thus far all anybody is doing on this board and the other board is going overboard.

i've heard from three different people at the varsity that night, one was the manager, and they all have the same exact story of events which is pretty much the story everybody here knows. the difference in the stories is the people involved in the events.

the people involved part of the story that is spreading is, of course, the one involving RP. in all of rp's past screw ups, including the oh-so-terrible stuff like using a fake id or having unpaid parking tickets, none of rp's past has been violent.

keep the same events but change the people to d odom and x carter and the story suddenly makes a lot more sense. in all of odom's troubles (three or four since july) they've all been violent and x carter has been with him every time.

also, like i've said on the other forum, it's easy to connect the dots with whatever you want to connect them with. for instance, if i want to put all this on dorsey, i can because guess what? he was there too! and i have just as much info putting him in connection with the fight as i do rp.

so you people really need to wait until... really until the security footage is released which will probably never happen. until then, i'd go with what miles does.

Nick and Terry don't listen to the news. They are just focused on the next football game.

I am sure Fisher doesn't mind the call in the wee hours of the morning as it is something that can potentially significantly affect his (Fisher) future earnings. I have a sneaky feeling that the attorney fees will be deferred-no cash up front, like some of the shopping deals you see now and then in the newspapers. ;)

Hope you are right about RP just being at the wrong place at the wrong time.

I understand full well but the big money guys at LSU aren't calling for players heads on message boards. They may call for a coaches head by calling Skip but they don't post it on message boards. Anyway, big money guys may be calling Skip to keep RP on the team but not about getting him tossed.

Contributing a lot of money with tix and your Stadium Club residence and contributing A LOT of money for 40 years are 2 different things. I knew an old guy......a former family member by previous marriage......who gave over $100,000 a year to LSU and that bought him no pull at all. Good seats that other people couldn't get yes......Skip's ear on hiring and firing coaches, no. Big money means big money. Not TAF money, getting points crap. The guy had a cache of great, 50 yard line seats and he had no idea what TAF even was.

if RP really was the victim and really wanted to press charges why wouldn't he call his lawyer? remember that 3 people were fired from the varsity and another 4-5 or so quit.

also, fisher represents most of lsu's players. supposedly he works pro-bono but i doubt that. even so, he probably makes no more and no less money whether or not RP gets in more or less trouble.
