It’s a difficult position truly. There’s no viable or acceptable choice in November. I think that like in 1852 when the Whigs were in similar position a new party was created. Two elections later Abraham Lincoln was elected the first Republican. BTW he was a former Whig. If you only focus on the fear of the opposition you allow substandard candidates to thrive. This leads to greater losses as we’re seeing today. There are no conservatives in the Republican Party only hacks and cowards that abandon principles for office.
