The Iraqi war is a huge mistake in your book. If Rove was the source, that would be a huge mistake in everyone's book...You (democrats in general, I'm not calling you out) don't have to bring up Iraq in every single political talk or debate....
I am horrified by that comment. From now on GMAN, keep it in the closet. Tiger Fans or not, I'll never pile on a group of guys. :hihi:
She never said it was a White House staffer.......everyone assumes but it seems everyone in Washington knew who this agent was. The NY Times would love to get Rove (Bush) indicted if he was the source....that's why I'm saying he wasn't her source.
If you read the stuff on it, the "Time" (sorry not Newsweek) article had many sources and Rove was just one of those. Cooper or his attorney has never said "Rove was my source and gave me the CIA agents name. There is a bunch of X + Y =Z stuff going on here with no one knowing who Y is. I'm telling you, if this was a Republican of any note, these reporters would have spilled on them from the beginning and never would have taken it this far. It's a liberal who gave up the name and that's why they have been fighting giving up the name. That's why Bush is all for the inquiry........he knows who it is and he wants it exposed. Just like with Kerry giving up an agent's name in the 911 hearings.....no one gave a crap about that though.
OK...you want high ranking gov't officials? Care to defend Sen. Durbin's comments? That sure seems to have blown over awfully quick Why can't liberals ever just admit what they are?
I know you're not calling me out because I am neither a democrat nor a liberal. Some of you need to take the time to ingest the notion that it is possible (and quite common) for someone that fits neither of those descriptions to hold dissent for the current admin.
Of course it is free speech, and you know it. Michael Morre may be a collossal doofus, but he hasn't broken any laws. Has he, G-Man? If a White House Chief of Staff broke a federal law involving exposing US covert agents, it is a scandal in a league with Alger Hiss, not the ridiculous bumpkin Michael Moore. YOU say he lied. YOU say he's a partisan hack. I say prove it, G-Man! Wilson reported the truth about the African yellow cake uranium. It was the President who lied about it. And I'll ask you a question. Did Joseph Wilson break any laws? No. Read my post. I didn't accuse him of treason. I said that some congressmen are using words like treason in their condemnation (yesterday on NPR). But since you asked: trea·son, noun: the offense of attempting to overthrow the government of one's country or of assisting its enemies in war; specifically : the act of levying war against the United States or adhering to or giving aid and comfort to its enemies by one who owes it allegiance. Rove perhaps qualifies by exposing a CIA agent during the Afghanistan War when the CIA was the major combatant. A Federal Crime. Wasn't it George H.W. Bush who once said that outing an intelligence agent was "the worst kind of treason"? Moore simply makes political fun of the President. The right to do this is what America is all about. It doesn't matter if he had malice or forethought. It is against the law to expose a covert CIA agent. Period. There is a grand jury investigation going on. The truth will come out.
I wouldn't know. But why can't you just accept the fact that not everyone fits into your oversimplified scheme? If I was a liberal, why in the hell would I deny it, particularly to you all?
Beats the hell out of me. All I know is that I've never seen you take a position that wasn't liberal. And if it quacks like a duck, it ain't a crow.
