Is that you Herpie? Uhh, I say we don't let you have any say either. That's the best you can come up with? We might as well get Dumbo Fisher back here to kill our program.
Del Rio was mentioned last time around and he was on the hotseat to start the year but turned the team around nicely minus the Saints game today. His oldest daughter is a freshman at LSU.
No freakin' way would I want Shula. I'd like to get Spurrier or Tubby. TT is a big game coach. He wants out of Alabama because he doesn't want to recruit against Saban in that state. His Auburn teams are generally well prepared.
Auburn and Bama dont fight for many recruits in the state of Alabama surprsingly. Bama has had the state decently locked down for many years.
No way in hell would I ever want Tubby to coach LSU... never, no way, no how. Spurrier isn't going to leave the confines of Columbia, SC. They are content with 7-8 wins and a middle level bowl game. He didn't go to Florida because he didn't want to pressure, plus he has a membership to Augusta National while he's coaching USC (and its only about an hour away from Columbia). Honestly, I don't know that there are any coaches in the nation right now, who would leave there job for the LSU job (that I would want to be the coach of the Tigers). Schiano was offered the Miami job and turned it down. Yes, thats the Rutgers coach turning down The U. Erickson would be a possibility, but leaving a program after only 1 year? I doubt he would make the jump this early. Kragthorpe is blowing nuts at Louisville, and I wouldn't want him. Carr will retire if he gets **** canned at Michigan. Don't even think about Franchione, Nutt, or Callahan. My leading Candidates for the position "IF" Les goes to Michigan, in order of interest, would be: Mike Price (UTEP) Mike Stoops (Arizona) Bo Pelini (LSU DCoord) Jim Leavitt (USF) Gary Pinkel (Mizzou)
Hey,I live in Jacksonville, after the "Azzzzzzzzz" whippings the Jags have taken this year at the hands if Indy and NO. Thanks, but no thanks...he ain't "that" good, in my opinion! And to reply to a comment about him being fired this year, I'd just about guarantee it. Del Rio's a good guy, but he's just not head coach material in my opinion. I think he'd make an awesome "D" coach somewhere, but he's still got a way to go for the number 1 slot. Jacksonville, is where they need Jimmy Johnson. "Sorry", but Del Rio doesn't have what it takes to head coach our Tigers! Besides, you guys are talking as if CLM leaving for Mich is a foregone conclusion, I'm not so sure that'll play out that way. I know...this is all hypothetical.
