Have to agree, Saban is a good coach. To think he is a terrible coach is absurd. Worth 4 mill? not quite.

sure seems like your 1st point was about the defense.

but now the defense isn't the problem...?

it's clear to see who the John Kerry of this thread is. :)

that's not the issue here. I think he is a really good coach. One of the best.

My whole thing is that Shula wasn't as bad as people made him out to be.

Defense is a problem, but not the MIAN promlem. I ahve absolutely no problem cheeering for them gettign croomed, but 98% of the people on here do not know the changes Saban has made, and most begin off the field.

The fact that their best defensive player is a WR should say something.

It's tough to win all your close games in the SEC, especially on the road. I'm not making excuses but thats the truth. This is the difference between an elite team like LSU and a good team like Alabama.

Shula wasn't that bad of a coach, hard to say if he would be doing better than Saban this year with this team, but what saban has over him is in the area of recruiting.

Saban is right about where he should be. He's going bowling his first year, and after the LSU loss Atlanta wasn't attainable anyway.

MSU had already beaten UK and Auburn, so this wasn't that bad of a loss for Bama people.

Still though, anytime an Alabama coach gets Croomed, it is hilarious for both sides involved.

Dude, we know all that...we just don't like their coach. He never has...and never will...walk on water. He had fewer than 3 games at LSU one time...and yet he's considered to be the best coach in the country. It's laughable at best.

In case some of you missed the game: John Parker Wilson lost this game.

Saban wasn't out there throwing the damn ball (or going fetal). Saban is the best coach Alabama has had in a while. JP Wilson is committing freshman mistakes in his junior year.

Recap: There is a ghost under the center.
