I posed a question a while back and never really got an adequate answer. I still don't understand why Smoke is given so much slack around here while John Brady has to dodge a lynch mob year in and year out. If you are upset with the inconsistent play of this baseball team, do yourself a favor and avoid looking ahead to next year's squad. If Liuzza jets, this program is on the verge of a painful slide. When Skip arrived at LSU, the program was "mired in mediocrity" (direct quote from Skip's mouth). I hope we are not on our way back to Mediocrityville. This team hung tough down the stretch and avoided a disastrous regular season. However, they just look like they are a cut below the competition heading into regional play. I'm hoping for post season magic like everyone else... I actually remember talk about this being one of LSU's most talented teams EVER. Remember all that chatter? I can't recall any of Brady's teams being called one of the best LSU basketball teams EVER. Here is what I asked before:
SabanFan, I am actually a Civil Engineer. I played baseball for many years and played for some very good coaches who taught me the game of baseball. Had a chance to play college ball but choose not to pursue it. Knew I never had a chance at the majors. Grew up going to LSU football games and fell in love with LSU. Decided it was better for me to go for my degree at LSU. Does this mean I don't know anything about baseball? No. Hope that is good enough for you. You don't have to agree with my opinion. LSUDAN
