Knowing how the media is, they will especially play our game with them up, since we were the last school with the biggest tragedy (Katrina) they loved to play up before the latest devlopments at Vtech. It is sad and ironic when you think about it this way but maybe a positive can come from this and there can be some kinda of pre-game tribute to both schools and the struggles we have both had to go through the past 2 years?

after :911: we (saints) were the giants first opponent.

after katrina, they (giants) were our 1st opponents. (sorta, carolina was echnically 1st)

now we (tigers) will be the hokies 1st nationally televised broadcast.

    with this in mind...

speaking as a die hard tiger fan and tailgater i hope LSU fans will be classy and extend every courtesy to the traveling hokie fans. taunts and jabs are fun and we'll have every chance this season to do that to teams like UF, Arky, AU, S Carolina, etc.
but we all need to be ambassadors of goodwill and fun for people that are looking (and need) to have a good time.

remember, out of 100 tiger fans, 99 of them could be class acts but it only takes one d-bag to make a lasting sour impression (i.e. the bears fan with the sign, "we're finishing what katrina started").
don't be afraid to police your own fans either. i have an awful feeling once the alcohol gets flowing, and some time has passed, some tasteless comments could be made, and our university could be reflected on in a terrible light.
on september 8th, we're being given the chance to show everyone what makes college football great and to show our beloved school as a positive presence. we get caught up in football when it's here but yesterday's events show us that there are things that transcend our passion for the purple and gold. i hope everyone keeps this in mind come september 8th.

OK, well since its such a big deal to everyone. I only have access to a work computer right now at Shaw, which by the way, has websense. Meaning I'm restricted from opening sports sites, auction site, porn sites, etc.. etc... Thank god for tigerforums because for whatever reason websense doesn't catch this site and its pretty much my only access to sports information til I go home on the weekend ,REALLY, expect for 2theadvocate.c/m, which probably doesn't have the VT schedule.

Honestly guys, this was a pretty easy question, just wondering if we were the first game or not.....:dis:
