Josh Boutte suspended 1 game for cheap shot

I hope he was also demoted to the bottom of the depth chart.

 

Should've been longer. I've read he's a good kid, but the game has no room for that kind of shit. Miles should've made a stronger example of his behavior.

 

I agree. Miles said it was an accident, but I don't buy that. That's why I said I hope he gets denoted also.

 

It was unacceptable and embarrassing.

 

He called the player he hit and apologized so everything is OK now. This is America after all

 

I could maybe see, and possibly understand being an accident had he actually wrapped the guy up and tackled him. But sorry, a 1 arm clothes line to the ground is a straight up flagrant personal foul even on an active play.

 

I didn't see it but a USC player stomped on the crotch of a Bama player and got a half game suspension

 

Can Miles honestly look a kid in the eye and say, "I'm holding you accountable" after the shit show his team put up. Boutte needed to be suspended clearly. But Miles can't come down like a hammer on anyone without looking like a hypocrite.

 

I'd love to hear Miles say "I'm suspending myself"
