Lombardi appears to be an internet rumor, but who knows. Not sure if Munoz wants back. Why wasnt he adked to stay & given the PGC position vacated by Joe Brady? Mangus is young, former RB coach turned OC at William & Mary. His emphasis is the running game. Will be interesting to see what happens.
Disagree, and here’s why! Mangus was a WR & QB at William & Mary (2012 grad, age 30) who played with Brady and was always a VA boy (Brady is from FL) and who has a great understanding of QB & WR positions that he played. His 35 year coaching legend hand picked him to get into coaching at W&M. 2013: Grad Asst coaching QBs & RBs at William & Mary in VA toward an OC position His W&M college coach steered him to an OC position, first In 2014 as QB coach at Hampton Sydney, then three seasons as a running backs coach, and then promoted to offensive coordinator & W&M in 2017. At the time, he was the second-youngest offensive coordinator across Division I. Good OC always has some time at a RB coach position! What he understands is the system Brady used for analysis (80 hr weeks watching video and selecting plays listed in priority for down and distance). In short, he’s one of the New Age Statistics Freaks and is a good analyst for the continuity in the booth with Coach Ensminger and whoever he picks to replace Joe Brady. Ensminger has the recipe to play Peyton Ball and a couple of good analysts left to help him do that 80 hr / week Video. Plus we have the best QB & WR Corps in America, even with 4th year man Myles. Know what, You think Saban doesn’t have many of his 43 employees (analysts, etc) working on a Nov 2020 plan to beat GA and LSU this fall to get back to the playoffs. It won’t help him because he doesn’t have the QB & WRs & DBs to hang with us in 2020. Think Tank New Age Statistics Football is upon us, and there ain’t no going back!
He didnt play much QB in college. He was moved moved to WR. Caught 45+ passes for 5 TDs in the FCS. I'm telling you how SID Michael Bonnette described his analyst duties at LSU in 2019. But maybe O will tap DJ for the PGC job. But I see uncle meaux posted LSU hired another analyst from Samford.
