Munoz was an analyst, not a position coach. There are only 10 position coaching jobs allowed by the NCAA. I think if Oeaux wanted to promote Munoz to that level he would have done it before Aranda hired him. Oeaux knows about everybody in football. He will hire somebody he knows can do the best job and he won't make the Matt Canada mistake again. I would bet he has been talking to people like Jimmy Johnson, Pete Carroll and Sean Payton for recommendations and advice.

That may all be true, and I know Munoz was an analyst, but we could have moved him up I would think. I hear you about NCAA position coach limits. That certainly may be playing a role. Just hate to see good, known talent walking out the door.

I agree to a certain extent. If we wanted to keep these coaches, why not promote and/or give them a raise. At least for the sake fo continuity. Are they not as valuable as we were led to believe?
That would be a great hire, but he wants to be an NFL head coach. Wouldn't it be considered a step down to go from NFL OC to college OC? Even if we got him, I doubt we could keep him for very long.

We do not have all the information. I heard someone say\read Munoz had the WR drills and prep down that Brady did, so I felt like he was a good promotion. But as an analyst who seemed to be just part of the machine I trust Coach O. Coach O could not replace him at all, and just let Coach E run with it. But if that is the case why not promote Munoz to WR coach, who knows, not us.

To me I am more worried about who our Defensive Coordinator is, that is the bigger importance right now.

While all of the turnover is concerning, I can't get too worried about an analyst leaving. This is especially true about someone I had never even heard of until about 6 weeks ago. Count me among those who trust Coach O to promote the people he wants to keep and let others have opportunities to grow elsewhere.

Like Rolan, I am most interested in the DC hire.

Munoz seems qualified but was he the best qualified available for the job? I don't know but I doubt it if he wasn't hired.

Because we need to keep that spot open for the new passing coordinator hire. Unless we don’t have one and leave it to E or promote from within.
