Mix aggressive, macho athletes with alcohol, add one drunken idiot, and you end up with a big damn phucking mess. Alcohol is the real culprit behind all of this trouble.
And a disrespectful douche bag who threw the first punch... this goes no where, JJ and Johns will either be acquitted or plead down with no jail time and prolly probation.
no crap, if they were all stoned it would have never happened. JJ would have helped the dude up off the ground.
This whole mess really makes me sad. As frustrating as JJ could be to watch sometimes, I've never thought he was a bad kid or a thug. I actually still don't--until he's really proven to be otherwise.
A 21 yr old with no priors for anything boils down to nothing but a mistake, if indeed he kicked someone. The dood who started the fight, with all of his past convictions equals the douche thug with no regard for anyone other than himself.
This is exactly what it seems like to me. I really, truly feel sorry for JJ, his family, Coach Miles, and the whole team.
Coach Miles and the team have an opportunity to revive and enjoy an successful season. But If Jefferson and Johns end up not being indicted or being acquitted . . . their careers will have been ruined over nothing.
