It's my opinion you have a valid point, but it's still off the mark. These 17 year old kids have no idea who Robinson is or what he's done in his career.. Their parents? That's a different story. Age, along with experience, has a lot of benefits. However, that comes with its own set of caveats. Here's an example:
Well the caveat that comes with youth is real world inexperience and sometimes recklessness. As I remember Oh Canada was the inovative young lion OC that was going to bring "modern" offense in some of our posters view to LSU. I never believed in his razzle dazzle and apparently neither did Maryland. The 3 best teams in college football Bama, Clemson and Ohio State run a balanced offense with very little razzle dazzle. Give E the tools those 3 teams have which we will be very close to if not have next year then we will see. I am for Joe Brady's hire but to think he is the offensive Messiah at his age is foolish. What I am happy about is E and O will be there to not let him become another razzle dazzle Oh Canada.
Maybe so but you and your pack of jackals are in meltdown right now over E. I am melting I am melting
I didn't see Canada as a threat when he was hired. My reasoning had to do with his previous coaching stops along with the impressions he left with both staff and player. Reckless with style, manner, and tongue. Brash, to the point of stubborness. Would you disagree that fits with both the "youth" you've mentioned and Canada? Setting aside how that would flow with Orgeron's style it's easy to see how it's not a fit with a lot of today's players. A bad fit for LSU. Contrast that with Ensminger. But you see, we've seen Ensminger with the athletes. And, we've seen the results. Chris Todd, Kodi Burns, Ben Tate, Tristan Davis, Quindarrius Carr, Montez Billings, Dunn and Zachary... That Auburn team was rolling until it lost against LSU, at home, by less than a touchdown. And that offense crumbled. Mind you, here's a coach I've been watching since the early nineties at Georgia, along with his time at a school here in my own state, Clemson. Now, hes at Auburn. But I digress ... I've been down this road before. I'd be curious to see a media outlet of note do a ranking of offensive coordinators in the SEC.
It has to be his relationships with West Coast/Cali high school coaches because the guy is in his 80s, he ain't moving to BR, and he's not going to be involved in day to day ops, so I'm not sure what else he can do.
The press release said he was going to assist O in daily planning of practice, personnel, and game planning. I don't know how he can do those things from LA.
