Hey @Rex you sack of shit. McCain was one of 3 republicans who voted against the skinny replacement bill. Apologize for your outrageous thread and insults if you have any honor.
Please read my posts from the last five or so years. The "20 million" number gets the press, but those people, on Obamacare without subsidies have faced ENORMOUS rate increases and skyrocketing deductibles. That is where the pain is . . . The working class, specifically those in the individual market. Uhmmm. . . That's he same crowd that elected Trump! Those claiming "uncertainty" are either disengenuous or fools. Since the whole universe thought Hillary had it in the bag, not one penny of any increase, or insurance company leaving the market, can be attributed to uncertainty prior to Election Day!
I think criticisms like mine and from fellow Congressmen who urged him to walk the walk might have sunk in.... He somewhat redeemed himself. Good for you, Mr. McCain.
Oh yes YOU were instrumental in this vote. Be careful what you ask for Rexie. Take the time to read the article I posted about England having to ration care in their national insurance disaster. Do so real research into socialist policies such as that. They all fail because there is never any efficiency in need n competitive systems. We have a non competitive system and really no justification for the way our costs have skyrocketed for basic care. Obamacare never had a chance to succeed because it's basic premise is false. Same is true for the republican plan. Both only tried to pick winners and losers not bring healthcare costs down to where we as a society can afford not only quality care but help those in need. They only rearranged the deck chairs on the Titanic. Only a open and truly competitive market will get there. Break big insurance monopolies by allowing competition across state line for individuals. Have hospitals pharma and doctors openly compete. Finally we the people need to fully understand what is possible what is practical when pursuing treatment. We all have to take responsibility for making good decisions not only in selecting our providers but in how we take care of ourselves. It's hard to stomach paying for the care and upkeep of a chain smoking obese drunk whose own actions got him in trouble. I have no problem paying for someone who had through no fault of their own needs help.
Oh, I haven't backed down from that position at all. He's just a shell-shocked LESS piece of shit this morning.
Rationing is inevitable under a universal system, but any one of those individuals who have been rationed out of a particular procedure can supplement their government-provided healthcare with policies on the side. Overall, the net effect is that people in the UK can get superior coverage at much lower per capita cost. ALL of those European socialist healthcare systems rate higher than ours in both health outcomes and costs.
