Kerry is not going to ban guns. If the NRA wants to say he will, because of his record. They can go right ahead. He does look like a complete fool running around Ohio with a gun, looking for a hunting license. Current subject: I'm pretty much a Libertarian. I agree with everything they stand for, minus abortion and drugs. I understand their stance on legalizing drugs I just can't bring myself to support it. I despise Bill Maher and will never be in the same party as him. So I'll forever consider myself to be a Republican.
I agree with your assesment but not your conclusion. If the U.S. continues on its present course of providing everything for everyone, with little accountability, and half-hearted guidelines for removing people from these programs, well then, when the babyboomers hit Soc. Sec. the weight of that burden will put an unbearable strain on the system as a whole. The effective tax brackets will have to approach the 85% range just to continue to pay the have nots, the will nots, and those that actually paid into the system. The destruction of a democracy begins as soon as those in charge, discover the power that comes with the dispensing of a nations wealth. That power will last as long as there are purse strings attached, which allows you to control the vote of those on the receiving end. Would everyone here agree, that it would be easier to find a virgin in a rap video, than it would be to find someone who voted Republican, if said person receives a Govt. check.(not soc. sec.) My conclusion is, when there are more receivers than givers, Ballgames Over. For whatever if anything that may arise, if my scenerio does occur, I'll sleep a little easier, knowing "I'm an Army of One" (but have enough guns for 3)uuh-raa :thumb:
you are right, my scenario assumes we dont get more and more liberal and socialist, which is possible.
