Nice spin. Listen to the first statement, look at his elitist grin, how he turns to the crowd. Listen to the laughter and wahoos. How dare JM fight for a lowly plumber. You accuse me of cherry-picking? Holy sh!t.
So you are saying, that alone justifies the price tag? My point wasnt that he isnt a talented guy. But his performance for the company should be the measurment, which apparently has been bad. He approved all of the measures that has put the company in the position. You cant defend that . Then the fact that its govt money is the kicker for me. I also understand he may have worked that in his initial contract when he was hired.
Im glad I didnt accuse you of being un bias and objective. holy shyt. And how is that cherry-picking a factual story I read in the WSJ yesterday, yes thats cherry picking, the guy oversaw his companies demise and now he is getting 30 million. Wow, all of that cherry-picking, how do I manage.
Evasive because you wont respond to related part of my post? Which was about Joe the Plumber and socialism. But you went on the attack, then Im the one whos being evasive. I never said I was objective. But Im not on here calling McCain gramps or erractic. Question,By elitist, do you mean the guy who grew up once on food stamps or the guy who grew up privileged?
I'm saying the market should dictate it, and right now big bucks is what the market is calling for. I agree performance should be a measurement, but the folks who take these huge gigs have to hedge their bets. Taking a CEO job at a huge frim is also taking on huge reputational risk. There has to be some incentive so huge mistakes won't result in managers getting black balled. That is why these execs have to negotiate these huge golden parachutes on the fron end. I don't like paying these dudes either (talk about redistribution of wealth), but a contract is a contract and has to be honored.
I mean elitist as I used it as an adjective which modified the word "grin". I can't find a "related" part of your post. I claimed BO made fun of JTP being just a plumber. My opinion, which, to borrow a favorite quote of mine from Red: "I'm the world's friggin expert on my own opinion chief." Gumborue asked how I came to that opinion, so I posted the video and quoted the part that led to my opinion. You claimed I cherry-picked and then threw out the CEO thing which is totally unrelated to making fun of JTP. So from now on I'll ask you which parts of someone's speech or action I should ignore. Then you'll be a more successful liberal, since you'll control my thoughts. Next task, control my income. You can do it! (Waterboy quote)
the "elistist" reference showed bias. so anyone that grins is elitist? BO wasnt saying anything bad about JTP. he was sarcastically saying that mccain is fighting for JTP.
I'm dizzy from the liberal spin.:insane: Somebody needs to. And B.H. Obama's "sarcastic" tone on just about every subject turns a lot of people off.
wtf? um, no. I used it as an adjective to modify a noun. There's many types of grins, a popular one being the shyt-eating variety. As in a lowly plumber isn't worth fighting for? sarcastic 1 : having the character of sarcasm <sarcastic criticism> 2 : given to the use of sarcasm : caustic <a sarcastic critic> — sar·cas·ti·cal·ly \-ti-k(ə-)lē\ adverb synonyms sarcastic , satiric , ironic , sardonic mean marked by bitterness and a power or will to cut or sting. sarcastic implies an intentional inflicting of pain by deriding, taunting, or ridiculing <a critic known for his sarcastic remarks>. satiric implies that the intent of the ridiculing is censure and reprobation <a satiric look at contemporary society>. ironic implies an attempt to be amusing or provocative by saying usually the opposite of what is meant <made the ironic observation that the government could always be trusted>. sardonic implies scorn, mockery, or derision that is manifested by either verbal or facial expression <surveyed the scene with a sardonic smile>.
