Bottom line is this on DiNardo - he didn't deliver the goods. He listened to everyone when he first got here and had success. Then started to think he was omnipotent and stopped listening to the folks who helped gain that success, then was too stubborn to admit it and it cost him his job. The program fell apart, inmates began running the asylum and he couldn't stop the walls from crumbling. Nick Saban has won SEC Titles and a National Championship and could lead the Tigers to their third 10 win season in four years - that's delivering the goods. There is no doubt from anyone at LSU - from fans to the AD - about who is in total control of the football program. I knew Gerry D personally and liked him, but the bottom line is Ws and Ls. Nick Saban may not ever win a congeniality award or buddy-of-the-media award, but the man is an outstanding coach and has produced many Ws and few Ls. That's why he's paid so handsomely.

Matter of fact, I can remember Larry Foster dropping an easy out route pass in fall camp of '99 and taking off on a self imposed lap around the practice facility as punishment for it. Imagine a guy self disciplined enough to discipline himself? Larry Foster always conducted himself in public with class and a great attitude. I don't see any of that in ANY of the LSU Basketball players I've ever spoken about...Sorry...but I challenge you to find any of those traits in JueMichael Young, Shawnson Johnson, or Jamie Lloreda...
If he was so disciplined, then why were there incriminating photos of him that he needed to get back. Apparently, he wasn't as disciplined as you say he was.
