Obama doesn't run the country yet, Bush does. If Obama had stepped up and interfered in that matter, you would have criticized him harshly for it. My point, that you missed, is that people who think terrorism is the only threat are wearing blinders, like the current administration that they have long supported. They can only perceive one threat at a time. We need a president that is capable of multi-tasking.
