Given the choice between Bush's and Clinton's, I'll go with Bush's. The perfect response must be somewhere in the gray area between those two, but I don't see how we can trust Obama to find it. He's already stated that his response ("I'll sit down with our enemies"), would be even more passive than Clinton's and his response didn't even deter the enemy for the remainder of his term.

Biden said "a generated crisis, to test the mettle of this guy". Now be honest....what do you think he meant? What do you think his audience think he meant?
Remember, we're talking about a candidate for President who has been advocating the unilateral withdrawal of troops from a combat zone, regardless of the consequences or strategic situation, and he's been doing it very loudly and with tons of media quoting him to the world, for several years.

Another point, seconds after the "test the mettle" quote, Biden said "it's not going to be apparent initially; it's not going to be apparent that we're right."
Put that together with his "the Presidency does not lend itself to on-the-job training" comment during the primaries, and we've got a VP candidate who doesn't sound very confident in his potential Pres, do we?

I think he probably meant Ahmadinejad or Putin. He did refer to the crisis coming out of "the middle east or Russia".

And redeploying them to a hotter and more important combat zone in Afghanistan. Bush already has an agreement on the table with Iraq that involves troop withdrawal.

Based on evaluations that the areas in question will be secure enough to warrant troop withdrawal. Obama never said anything about that. He wants out, regardless of the consequences.

OK, but again, an "economic crisis" or a military crisis"? What do you think he meant?

You can't advocate to know what someone else would do if they never did it?

Shooting first and asking questions later never works.

No he doesn't, that is McCain campaign disinformation. Here is the official Obama campaign policy on Iraq withdrawal.
