Well 7 men in the box is a balanced defense so yeah I would expect that. 8 men would mean they are focusing to stop the run so I would also expect that against a team up in the 4th quarter looking to run out the clock. As far a 9 man look goes I would assume that they are dropping someone back after the snap but don't want to show there hand.

Not true. In that play they were in man with 4 down lineman, two LBs at the line, and a MLB. That is 7 men in the box which is what you said they were running against Jefferson.

Here is a pre-snap pick of that play.

I didn't make it through all this drivel, but I read enough to know what you're assuming I'm saying. You're wrong.

If you go back and read my posts the past few days, you won't see me saying JJ needs to start and Lee needs to be on the sidelines. I think JJ WILL start, but I hope they give Lee a shot. I would like to SEE if he's improved. I know this...JJ hasn't. I also think Lee gives the team a better opportunity to move the offense, and get more weapons involved.

Now, like I said, Lee sucked LESS in the spring game. If you wanna go see the stats for yourself, go ahead. I have no doubt about it, so I have no need to go get the stats. I know this, JJ sucked at least as bad as he did in the Vandy game. In fact, the spring game and the Vandy game were very similar regarding JJ. And because we all saw how poorly JJ played in the spring game, ANYONE would've looked better. Lee was better...but he was FAR from impressive in that game. AND he threw another pick 6. Like I said, he sucked less than JJ...but both sucked in that game.

So what are you basing your opinion on that Lee is so obviously the right choice? Like I said, 1 pass in the Vandy game, however smooth and quick and on target it was, it not enough to judge from. Take out the entire 2008 season, and even then you can't supply enough evidence to pump up Lee as much as you did in that post. Instead of asking me to go watch the Vandy game, why don't YOU go watch the LA Tech game from last year. You wanna talk about eerily similar to the Vandy game...only one difference, really...regarding QB play. That difference is this...JJ started and played most of the game at Vandy, and Lee started and played the entire game against Tech. Oh, and JJ completed one more pass against Vandy than Lee against Tech...with fewer attempts. IIRC, Lee was 7-25 or so against Tech. I also believe he was 50%> in the spring game you're raving about...but JJ was worse. Bottom line, they BOTH sucked in the spring game, and JJ sucked worse. Like I said.

    ***ETA***

"Jarrett Lee completed 10-of-20 passes for 114 yards with one pick and one touchdown. "

So he completed 50% of his passes, with one TD, and one pick.........6. Clearly this is enough evidence for you to heap high praise on him as you did in that post. :rolleye33: And that 50% performance, pick 6 included, is exactly what you based your opinion on. And I'm the one that cracks YOU up??

And Pharpe just destroyed your cred anyway. People said that BS all last year, about how defenses "loaded the box". YOU go rewatch the damn games. I don't need to, because I already have. I know for a fact that it's nothing more than a myth...just like "Miles never plays freshman".

You're like the ones screaming about Ford not getting enough PT, when Ridley just ran for 160 yds and Blue and Ware performed extremely well in their roles...but surely Ford is the best back on the team, even though NOBODY had ever seen him run a single play in a college game prior to Saturday night. Some people operate too much off of their gut feeling, facts be damned.

No he didn't. He completed two more passes than JJ and had a very different package doing so. Lee was not asked to throw the ball down field as JJ was. I have the spring game recorded and have seen it several times. You can look it up on youtube. He did not outplay JJ, he just sucked a little less. Lest you forget, he threw another pick six in the Spring game. Considering his propensity for this, it has fans understandably gunshy about his progress.
Perhaps you should do this yourself, because you clearly don't understand what you are looking at.
You don't have to know anything about football to see that this is inaccurate.

Untrue as video replay shows clearly.

    you have been drinking?
    Dear Lord...
He has come in one time so far. Are you referring to the "better running team" last year?
Perhaps he will, but there is no empirical evidence to suggest it yet.
And what will you say if JJ lights it up?

As far as Fish being a fair weather fan, you couldn't be more delusional. He defended Lee as long as anyone else, just as he has defended JJ. Simply because he can be objective, intelligent in analysis and passionate at the same time.

While you have only demonstrated a lack thereof.

Dang, I didn't even see that part. Like I said, I didn't read all the way thru that drivel. But I saw it when Dude quoted you, because his was a post worth reading all the way thru.

So to respond to this gem, you couldn't possibly be more wrong. Again, you COULD go back and read my posts defending Lee from 2008...friggin' 2008! But, you don't have to. You can just peruse around the site and check my posts from this very week. I haven't said one negative thing about Lee, and actually started one of the harshest threads about JJ...but again, go off of your gut without regard to the facts that are present...and that totally dispute everything you said.

Well I don't buy the "karma" BS, but anyone who boos needs to use their head a little. I think if they knew the list of recruits that are going to be in attendance, they might cheer a little harder and wouldn't think of booing. But most fans don't really know the game, and most fans don't follow recruiting. Most fans are there to be entertained, and if they aren't entertained to THEIR satisfaction, they have a propensity to not use their head. I call it---

    Rectal-Craniul inversion.

IOW, their heads are up their arse.

You must spread some around before giving to Fishhead again.!!!!!!!!:thumb:

I would add, just remember one day, if you are lucky enough to have your child play college sports, it could be your son out there on the field. Just how would you feel then?
