That is they way I see it as well. I don't think the option of lazy isn't a concern. Lee, Like Jefferson, truly wants to be the best QB out on the field. Unfortunately, for JJ it just hasn't transpired, and JL hasn't really been given the opportunity. Both, have shown temendous courage to continue to try and regain the coaches and fans faith. In Lee's case, exceptional courage, because after the way he ended his starting tenure, being boo'ed off the field by fans many would not want to be subjected to that again. He wants to try. Got give the kid his props.
There is only one way to find out Absolutely right. The fact that Lee even wants to play QB anymore is a testament. I'm down on JJ but I'd never wish ill will or bad play on him. I wish he were a heisman candidate. This This This, it is pressure. The thing that worries me is we have seen for 16 or so games how he handles pressure and it isn't so hot. Heres to letting them hash(calm down lasalle, not that kind of hash) it out on the field:thumb:
I think it is #2. When he went into the game last week, he practically was bouncing in the huddle. He had a lot of spring in his step, and lot of enthusiasm. He looked "chomping at the bit" to me. :geaux:
If by "completely outplayed Jefferson in the spring game", you mean "sucked less", then I guess so. But other than one pass against Vandy, you have NOTHING upon which to base everything you're saying about him. - With that said, I think he deserves a shot...but it's based on JJs play...not anything Lee has ever done. (other than the fact that I think he's a tuff sumbitch, and I respect him for sticking it out with LSU)
No, by saying he COMPLETELY outplayed him, I mean he COMPLETELY out played him in the spring game!! It is people like you that crack me up! Do me a favor and go back and watch the Vandy game over again. In particular, watch the last 3 or 4 series that Jefferson ran before the series that Lee came in. If you know anything about football at all, then you will clearly see that almost every single snap that Jefferson takes the Vandy D is loaded up in the box with 7 to 9 guys EVERY time!! But as soon as Lee comes in the game they IMMEDIATELY drop back to a zone with only 5 down lineman and one linebacker in the box! Obviously the Vandy coaches, which I am pretty sure are much more football knowledgable than you are, have seen enough film on him that respect him as a MUCH better passer than Jefferson is. Once again if you knew anything about football, then you would realize that the 60 yard run by Ridley was not just a lucky play, it was ALL set up by Lee coming in the game and forcing the defense to back off!! If you watch carefully, most everytime that Lee comes in the game, we automatically become a much better running team!! I don't have to justify to you that he is good, or as you put it, "he sucks less than Jefferson", because as soon as he gets his chance you will see!! And of course you will jump on the Lee bandwagon because thats what fair weather fans like you do!! Thanks for correcting me and straightening me out though, I appreciate it!
