Lee should be rewarded for all he's done, instead of Miles trying to pacify JJ's psyche. How can you ask the BACK UP QB to come into the game when it's on the line and lead you're team to victory when the starting QB is perfectly healthy? If you don't have faith in JJ be able to lead your team when the game is on the line, why should he be allowed to lead the team at all? Miles pandering around the issue of benching JJ could end up hurting LSU if JLee doesn't get enough snaps in the upcoming game. ---------------------------------------------------------------- True enough. It's going to cost a National Championship. But because the record will look good, polyanas are fuzzy all under.
Not really. I think the option of JLee throwing a fade pass to TT is far more valuable in the red zone than JJ's running ability. As long as JLee can consistently hit that pass defenses will eventually have to stop giving man-to-man coverage to TT and that will in turn make it easier to pound the ball into the end zone.
Do you mind using the quote button so we can tell who it is you're actually quoting? I was about to say I totally agree with whoever you were quoting, only to realize it was me. Once you click quote, it will still allow you to edit what you actually quote.
That's cool, just asking. I have no confidence in Jefferson moving the sticks on 3rd and long with his arm. He has a tendency to lock on to receivers, throw the ball low, and not give receivers an opportunity to get yards after the catch. Honestly, like I said earlier, if Lee were the qb the entire time, you wouldn't hear any complaints from me, but since we must do the 2 qb system, I think it makes both qb's better from competition, but i would rather Shep running the option plays.
I completely agree. With JJ not being able to hit a pass why don't we keep JLee in the game as a QB and every once in awhile move Shep from the wing to the shotgun, let Lee line up as a WR and run a play. The advantage being the very next play you can put Lee back under center and keep Shep on the field as a slot WR without having to sub players in or out.
I agree with this 100%. When Jefferson lines up with 1st and Goal, there will be 11 men at the line until he beats them. He might, but he hasn't proven he can yet.
