And if anyone wonders why Gunner Kiel had cold feet about coming to LSU, all that crap about Mom wanting him to stay home that was a saving face call because at the end of the day, no one can fault a kid for wanting to stay close to his family. Just think if the real story came out "uh did you watch the game, have you spoken to any of the players who wants to be a passing QB in a running attack even when the running attack is not working they still will not pass the ball - no thanks I will stay close to home" As the sports writer with CBS stated "But that not one former Tiger is willing to stand up for his ex-coaches' performance that night in New Orleans strongly suggests that things were not run well behind the scenes -- not that what was in front of the scenes would argue with those complaints in the slightest -- and that if LSU's offensive coaching staff wants to maintain their players' faith in them, a strong spring and quick start to 2012 would be highly advisable."
I'll take two loses and a national championship in a hearbeat. Every time. Spare me another undefeated regular season followed by a debacle played out in front of the entire nation.
Correct, you don't pack your bags and make it to the terminal before your flight and have an epiphany about the game plan in the NC game. LMAO
Nothing wrong with wanting to stay close to family. Hypocrisy in action. Oh we get pissed off about Louisiana talent not wanting to stay close to mama and we get pissed off about non-Louisiana talent wanting to stay close to mama. Hell, we just like to be pissed off about something.
huh? what? Jack Daniels is that you bro? If you are so big on accountability, you must really be pissed about all those Wall Street Elite who got bailed out by George W. Fox News Flash: Democrats steal NC from LSU. Obama's secret plan uncovered.
I am not saying that it wasn't a great season, and I certainly am not calling the SEASON a blunder. However, benching your starting QB in the middle of an undefeated season in favor of an underachiever who got himself arrested and suspended shortly before his senior year is a massive blunder IMO. What we are left with is a horrible end, which feels even worse knowing that the guy that led us to an undefeated start is holding his helmet on the sidelines for 60 minutes while we are being shutout. That is the massive blunder I am referring to. While I agree it was one of, if not the greatest teams in LSU history, it is heartbreaking to see the season end with us getting shutout with Lee watching Jefferson stink it up for 4 quarters. For that, I wonder if Les finally realizes how bad he messed up
Well actually I was picturing him as a shelf stocker at Wal Mart, but I think you are onto something. He might be a better fit at either Firestone or Jiffy Lube :yelwink2:
Oh please. He basically sucked for his career, and got even worse in his Junior and Senior year when the light bulb should've come on. Don't try and make it sound like he is hall of fame worthy. Of course his greatest feat was getting arrested right before his senior year, coming off a junior year that led to relentless booing in Tiger Stadium. The guy is a phucking moron who was a huge disappointment to most LSU fans. The only guy that seemed to believe he was worth a darn was the guy in White LSU cap.
Dude, that was his FRESHMAN year. Get over it already. Lee had made major strides, and he had had a great season with the exception of two bad throws in the 1st Bama game. What it more relevant than J Lee throwing pick sixes in his freshman year is that Jefferson was horrible in his junior year and then got suspended before his senior year. I realize you may be trying to play devil's advocate on this thread, but bringing up Lee's freshman year is kind of silly IMO
