Jefferson takes too long a drop back then rarely moves up and when he does he stops looking up field and starts to panic. All of that can be coached out or with experienced maybe corrected... the large windup in his throw can't be coached out. There are no quick passes in the slant or over the middle because he can't do. Sure he throw hard but it takes so long for him to get that thing going the defense is already in position.
Its an issue cause it aint working!!! Jefferson is more comfortable when he knows the play going from the huddle to the line!
You are gonna have to trust me on this one but JJ aint the only problem with this offense!:rolleye33:
I agree. I think what this offense needs is to remove a QB who can both throw and run the ball and replace him with a one-dimensional running QB who is a few months removed from high school. LSU would have no doubt blown this game wide open with Shepard running the option and not throwing the ball.
Jefferson had plenty of time.. the pocket was there most of the night, our line did outstanding the bulk of the time. He needs to step up or get out, basically. Is Crowton the positional coach?
JJ is only 19. We had back-to-back duds with Lee and Perriloux. What are the chances of that happening?
WHAT? I really cant deal with stupidity tonight! Its up to the coaches to put the players in a position to win! If Jefferson is more comfortable with playing from the huddle instead of the sideline and he is the starting QB... THEN YOU PLAY FROM THE HUDDLE!
